Farbe: Helles Gold.


bottlers note: Aroma: Parfümierte grüne Apfelaromen mit getrockneter Banane und sanfter Milchschokolade.


Geschmack: Cremige Vanillecremearomen verbinden sich mit Zitronen-Molketrank und Blütenhonig.

Im Nachklang entwickelt sich ein mittelkräftiges finish mit Würze.


Ausbau: bourbon cask matured

Besonderheit: Keine Angaben zur Filtrierung oder Färbung, letzteres eher wohl nicht.

Zitronen-Molketrank oder english posset... wird doch kein verkappter Nc' Nean sein?


Einiges Aufsehen erregt im April 2018 die Ankündigung des unabhängigen Abfüllers Gordon & MacPhail, daß das Portfolio einen relaunch erfahren wird. Das 122 Jahre alte Familienunternehmen reduziert dabei die einzelnen Linien von ungefähr 14 auf nur noch 5 ranges. Discovery, Distillery Labels, Connoisseurs Choice, Private Collection und Generations.


Die komplett neue Discovery range war dann im Sommer 2018 die nächste neue Serie.

Die neuen Distillery Labels kamen später im Sommer 2018 und die Private Collection range im neuen look im Herbst des elben Jahres. Wann die Generations Serie folgen sollte, war noch nicht bekannt.


Carefully matured in our own casks with spirits entrusted to us from XY distillery steht auch auf den Discovery Packungen. Diese sind in drei Farben zhu haben, die aber nicht für Regionen sondern Kategorien stehen,'Sherry', 'Smoky' oder 'Bourbon'. sherry ist lila, smokey grau und bourbon grün.
